MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
KWINANA REFINERY, Australia
An outstanding opportunity exists for a Production Supervisor in the Digestion area at Kwinana.
The primary purpose of this position is to monitor, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the Digestion Operation at Kwinana Refinery within corporate policies, procedures and accepted professional standards in order to optimise functional contribution to achieve strategic business objectives.
The position is accountable for
- All day to day functions including safety and environment
- People, production, equipment management, budgeting and cost control
- The training and development of employees.
- Providing input into and implementation of the strategic plan and direction of the area.
The position directly manages front line leaders who in turn are responsible for the performance of crews operating on continuous shift patterns.
A key focus area of the position is the leverage of change through implementing systemic business improvement using principles based on the Toyota Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing.
Experience as a leader in an industrial environment is a necessary requirement for this role with demonstrable success in all areas required for this position and in particular safety and environment. You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and provide direction to all levels of the organisations.
